As much as people complained in the past this place has been absolutely amazing to stay at. I have not seen a single rodent, cockroach or anything else creepy crawly besides a huntsman and a beautiful lizard which calls somewhere nearby home. The owner has been an absolutely amazing person and his hospitality has been impeccable. Even when it came to me needing some minor first aid he went above and beyond. The beds are firm but the place has a charm to it that these newer built hotels don’t have. It was built during one of the golden era’s of Queensland and has a charm that you don’t find in a newer hotel. The location is amazing and the staff have been absolutely amazing and gone above and beyond. The price is low which meant we could afford a much longer stay in an amazing location. For what the newer hotels have I would any day rather stay at this place than any of the others. I would 100% return and the owner I would consider a friend. If you want a place that is low budget but covers all the bases so long as you aren’t a vain person then this will cover all bases and then surprise you in ways you wouldn’t expect. If I could rate it higher I would.
